SOME matches from Week-10 and Week-11 of the MPT Myanmar National League 2020 would be rescheduled to help the Myanmar national football team prepare for the 2020 World Cup Qualifiers in March.The matches will be held a few days late, according to the league.A coordination meeting on the rescheduling of MNL matches was held yesterday at the meeting hall of Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon.
MFF general secretary U Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon Ko Ko Thein, MNL CEO U Soe Moe Kyaw, MNL Chief Operating Officer U Sue Aung, head coach of Myanmar national football team Antoine Hey, officials from MNL and Myanmar National League clubs, and MySports officials attended the meeting. Speaking at the meeting, MFF general secretary U Ko Ko Thein explained the purpose for holding the meeting and expressed thanks for cooperation from the clubs.
Head coach Antoine Hey said some matches would be rescheduled to help the national football team prepare for the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers in March. The Myanmar national team will compete against Japan on 26 March at the Toyota Stadium in Japan and Kyrgyzstan on 31 March at the Mandalar Thiri Stadium in Mandalay. Afterwards, MNL CEO U Soe Moe Kyaw made remarks on the rescheduling of matches. The new match schedule will be released soon, according to the Myanmar National League.
